Mission Order :
The Lost World
Hidden at the crossroads of Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana rises a timeless stone giant: Mount Roraima. A colossal tepui with sheer vertical cliffs, forged over two billion years ago, standing like a shipwreck marooned in the sky.
Here, the earth touches the clouds.
Here, the rain falls sideways.
Here, nature is not gentle. It is raw, mystical, untouched.
Roraima is the inspiration behind Conan Doyle’s Lost World—a living, breathing relic of another era: misty plateaus, quartz pools, carnivorous plants, and black rocks sculpted by wind and time.
The ascent is not just physical. It is a rite of passage. Each step draws you closer to the sky, and each night spent on this stone titan feels like stealing a secret from the universe.
Roraima isn’t something you simply describe. You live it. You conquer it.
I pre-register to the mission !
Program
Arrival in Boa Vista, Brazil
For this expedition, we'll be crossing the Brazil-Venezuela border. We'll meet at Boa Vista in the state of Roraima. The next day we'll take a bus to the border at Pacarima.
Off to Venezuela
After a 5-hour bus journey, we will be met at the border by our guides from the indigenous Pemon community. We board our cars, pass through border control and continue on to the community of Paraytepuy. We'll spend the night in small shelters and get ready for the next day.
Conquering the Stone Giant
The adventure begins! For 8 days we'll be traversing the breathtaking lunar landscapes of the Roraima - no spoilers, I'll leave the surprise to you! Around 85km of walking and 3000km of ascent await us.
Back in Boa Vista
On this day, the programme will be the same as on the outward journey, but in the opposite direction!
Bye Bye
We'll say goodbye in Boa Vista and you'll be on your way to your next destination!

Many adventurers like you dream of living the most impressive and incredible experiences. Only, it's more fun with friends and makes for unforgettable memories to share. But when it comes to extreme expeditions, it's sometimes hard to find friends who are ready to experience the unthinkable and step out of their comfort zone. That's why I've created a Facebook group "les sunlights des tropiques" where you can find ‘Travel Buddies’ and share your best moments, ask questions and get advice!
You'll sometimes sleep in a tent at some of the most beautiful spots of your life
Venezuela unfortunately has a bad reputation. Indeed, the country has been the victim of a number of political and security problems. However, the crime situation in the country has changed dramatically, with all the bandits leaving because ‘there was nothing left to steal’.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is that in the Gran Sabana region, and more specifically in the Roraima area, the situation is completely normal and safe. Many people, especially Brazilians, travel to Roraima every day via the border between the two countries. There's a good flow of people, and no one will bother you if you're travelling to Roraima and back.
If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. You can contact me by email, by message on Whatsapp or we can also call each other.
