August 2025 - Bolivia
ft Tropicalex
" We'll cross the world's largest salt desert on our own and tackle the country's most mythical peaks. "
At the heart of South America, Bolivia is a kingdom of epic adventures and grandiose landscapes. Its vast expanses stretch as far as the eye can see, revealing an exceptional diversity of majestic mountains, arid deserts and ancestral cultures. The snow-capped peaks of the Andes crown this country, like silent guardians watching over a land steeped in history and mystery. At the centre of this immensity, the Uyunir Salar rises like an infinite mirror, a salt desert that seems to defy time and gravity, offering a hypnotic spectacle where the sky merges with the earth. Bolivia, a land of contrasts and legends, invites you to marvel and explore its wild and timeless treasures.

YOUR MISSION IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT will take place in 3 stages:
- The first challenge will be to cross the mythical Uyuni Salar, the largest salt desert in the world, on your own. This desert covers an area of 10,000 km2, 1/3 the size of Belgium, and lies at an altitude of 3,600m. We'll be crossing the desert from south to north, covering 140km in 6 days. We'll be on our own in this hostile environment, which has no water. So we'll need to carry enough water with us to keep us hydrated and fed during this first challenge. The sun, combined with this immense white surface, will also be a major enemy not to be underestimated.
- We'll then join the Eastern Cordillera to tackle the 6088m summit of Huayna Potosi. This will be the perfect place to acclimatise and learn the basics of alpinism and ice climbing before challenging the final obstacle to complete the mission.
- Our mission will only be complete once we have reached the summit of the Sajama, Bolivia's highest peak at 6542m, dominating the Andean altiplano.
